Official Description
This course provides students with advanced knowledge of major plant pathogens, including fungi, oomycetes, bacteria, nematodes and viruses as well as major diseases they cause in plants. Lecture topics include taxonomy, etiology, pathogenesis, molecular biology, epidemiology and management. The underlying mechanisms associated with pathogenicity and the complex nature of plants and their pathogens will be presented. Course Information: 3 undergraduate hours. 3 graduate hours. Prerequisite: PLPA 204 or consent of instructors, or graduate student status. Junior standing required.
