Department Academic Scholarships

Our department awards more than $80,000 over 30 scholarships yearly to first-year, current, and transfer students enrolled in our undergraduate program. Scholarship applications are emailed to eligible students in the spring semester. Specific dates and instructions are included on the application.

Undergraduate Travel Awards

Crop sciences majors have the opportunity to apply for a departmental undergraduate travel award. This award may be used to help defray travel expenses for conferences, study abroad, etc. Priority will be given to applicants giving presentations at professional conferences. Applications should be submitted at least four weeks prior to departure. Receipts from the trip may be required. Students are only eligible to receive a departmental travel award once during their undergraduate program. Students will be required to submit a two- to four-page paper about their experience upon return from their trip or a copy of the abstract and poster of their conference presentation (due at the end of the semester in which their trip took place). Papers should be submitted to Director of Undergraduate Programs Dr. Kris Lambert.
